Okay one more question then I will get over him I promise?
I know I am being rediculous but hey I'm a woman and I am emotional right now. Just broke up with him yesterday, we were together over a year. The break up was amicable and he's already back on a dating website! I was considering a friendship with him but now I don't think so! Doesn't it sound like a scummy thing to do?
This answer is for Louise too. My boyfriend and I broke up "amicably" about a month and a half ago too. I miss him TERRIBLY. We've both gone out with other people. We've "hooked" up once or twice since then. And although I thought I could handle that, I really couldn't. I thought I was emotionally detached enough from him to just have sex with him and go on about my business, but it was way more difficult than that. And part of the reason it was difficult is because he COULD just "hook up" and then go about life and even though I tried to act like I was casual about it, I wasn't. It made me want him back, and made me mad that he seemed a little more indifferent. He's seeing someone one now and when I find myself getting jealous of her, wanting what she has (him) I tell myself, "I am missing what I wanted him to be, she has what he ACTUALLY is." I'm remembering all the good things about him, but she has the good things AND the things that led us to break up. (c'mon, there had to be some bad things about him or you wouldn't have broken up with him.) Like I said, it's been about a month and a half and I'm just now "turning the corner." I'm just now starting to realize my life will go on, and I will meet someone else eventually. And it will be someone better suited for me. She can have his late bill paying, no saving money, buying anything he can get credit approval for sorry self. See ... I'm not bitter. Ha!
